BIO
BRIAN ALAN ELLIS runs House of Vlad Press and Vlad Mag, and is the author of several books, including Sad Laughter (Civil Coping Mechanisms, 2018) and Hobbies You Enjoy.
His writing has appeared at Juked, Hobart, Fanzine, Monkeybicycle, Electric Literature, Forever, X-R-A-Y, Heavy Feather Review, and Yes Poetry, among many other places.
He also hosted CURRENTS, an interview series at Vol. 1 Brooklyn, and was involved with FEST Wrestling.

On September 22, 2024, catch horror writer Gabino Iglesias talking about his new book House of Bone and Rain at 4 pm at the Civic Media Center (433 S Main St, Gainesville, Florida). Reading will be followed by a Q&A with author and founder of House of Vlad Press and Vlad Mag, Brian Alan Ellis. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
About the author: Gabino Iglesias is the author of the Shirley Jackson and Bram Stoker award-winning novel, The Devil Takes You Home, as well as the author of the critically acclaimed and award-winning novels Zero Saints and Coyote Songs. He is a writer, journalist, professor, and literary critic living in Austin, Texas, and the horror columnist for the New York Times Book Review.
